I'm very happy with this compilation, it shows slide guitar in a nice ambient light, rather than just country &or blues.

This is a very eclectic CD!. The slide adventures in many different territories (swing, experimental, folk, hard rock, …). My favourite tracks are the first six. Paolo’s swing tricone playing is superb as always. Andrea Bonino’s 5/4 song reminds me of Mick Karn with the haunting bass ostinato, both Jim and Mike create very nice ambiances with their tracks (dreamy and swampy- the titles are well chosen). FredK’s into some very nice and very dark folk (lyrics translation please) and Steinar is surprising in a hard rock song. This might be a CD aimed at slide geeks, but it is still very listenable by everyone who won’t mind the radical variety of styles and beats.

tout d'abort bravo!!! ce cd permet de découvrir des styles de guitare slide les plus variés avec des musiciens talentueux, bien plus qu'une compilations ce projet est sera un grande aventure musicale qui je l'espere prendra toutte son ampleur... bravo a vous.
